Ahhh, Sequim.  What better place to get married than under a giant rain shadow on the Olympic Penninsula?  The Cutting Garden is one of the sweetest garden wedding venues I have ever been to, with some of the best flowers and bouquets- all made on site.  Although some dark clouds threatened,  the rain shadow delivered as promised and it didn’t rain a drop.

Heather + Keith are so much fun, totally relaxed, and crazy in love!  Heather even smashed cake in Keith’s face- woot!  (It happens way less than you would think-get to smashing, people!)

Here are some of my favorites from the day…

  • Amanda Caines - Kim! Swoon. Such beautiful goodness.

  • Katie - Oh KIM! LOVE these….love them love them. So beautiful! You’re such a great artist!

  • Jenny J - holy moly, lady! that dress shadow?!? i love how you see things.

  • wendy - friend of a friend of a friend brought me to your site to see heather and keith’s pics. my oh my they are amazing! great job

Behold, the adorable couple that is Janine and Phil!  Do you see a rather freaky resemblance to two movie stars?  (I”ll give you a hint: Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaall– tell me they don’t look like them!)  J+P got married on July 12th at the Edgewater in downtown Seattle.  We had plenty of time to roam the city and snap away in places like Pioneer Square and Myrtle Edwards Park.  Here’s  just a couple of my favorites from their portrait time… the rest of the wedding day to come soon.

  • michele - pretty. darn pretty.

  • jen - freakin’ stunning.

  • Gemma Carr - Wow – awesome!

  • erin - I see some Kate Winslet in her too! Gorgeous shots.

  • Deann B. - gorgeous, kim! Of course, I love the color and the light, but this couple also looks like so much fun!! looks like it was a match made in heaven all around. ;)

  • Stacey - Oh my gosh, what gorgeous captures and moods! Looks like even the photographer had fun ;-)

  • rhys - super killer stuff!
    all your exposures are $$$

I love small and intimate ceremonies!  Nothing is quite as special as a couple declaring their love for each other in front of their closest family members.  They invited a grand total of 10 guests, I came in at number 11.  It was such a warm + beautiful day, and by the end of it I felt like part of the family.

The ceremony was held overlooking Mt. Rainer at the Seattle Tennis Club, followed by some portraits at Volunteer Park, and then dinner at The Herbfarm.  If you haven’t been to the Herbfarm, I would highly suggest checking it out if you have a special occasion coming up.  They give a tour of their garden (which was spectacular!) and you get to taste the different flowers and herbs that will later be served in your 9 course dinner. I didn’t have dinner that night, but I did have some sort of herb infused water.  I’m pretty sure it was the most delicious water I have ever tasted. (or maybe I was really thirsty, not sure which it was)

Laura + Kyle, thanks for making me your 11th guest. ♥
