I know, I know.  I’ve been ignoring my blog lately.  I think it’s part of what I do this time every year; hibernate!  Winter around here is the time where I rejuvnate, take vacations, and scheme up new ideas.  Truthfully, the blog takes a back seat because I’m  avoiding my computer like the plague!  I could shoot all day everyday, and not get tired of it.  It’s the computer work that really gets me down.  I have tons of personal work sitting on my hard drive just waiting for the day that I decide to work on it…

Well, maybe it’s the new look that I’ve been working on around here that’s got me motivated, but I’ve decided to make a promise to my blog readers: fresh new blog posts every Monday and Thursday morning!  So be sure to check back twice a week to see some new work.

And  in case you are interested, I’ve got a fresh site up: KIMHAYESPHOTO.COM

I’ve decided to concentrate on big images that load fast, and to cut out all the extra stuff on my website + blog.  It’s all about the photos, right?  The new site is iPhone compatiable, which is super important these days.  Most of the sites I look at lately are from my iPhone.

Be sure to check back Monday morning for a new post!  Here is another shot of the beautiful Eman from last weekend:

  • Deann B. - I LOVE IT!! Everything looks so clean… it makes your images POP off the page! Great job, lady!

  • Jess - Love the new site Kim! Milo is just begging to be in your “Dogs” gallery!!

  • melia - fracking fantastic! you’ve made me all excited about the Click of my Booq again. Looks so good!

  • Gina - So excited for Monday’s and Thursday’s! Love new blog posts and all the great pictures.

Just in time for the holidays!  ONLY 5 LEFT!!

I have a selection of 9 framed photographs left over from my show at the Seattle Healing Art Center this past summer.  I’m selling these bad boys at a discounted price to move them out of my office closet.   To save and/or purchase your prints, email me directly at: kim (at) kimhayesphoto.com.  (or click on email above)  I expect these to go fast, so email me asap if you are interested.  These are all Giclee’ fine art prints with a super thick 8 ply mat, in a custom black frame.  They look awesome, if I do say so myself.  If you have questions, don’t be afraid to ask…

If you live in the Seattle area, I will deliver them to your door.  If you live out of the area, a small shipping fee will apply.  Sale price does not include tax.

These first 7 prints measure 23″ x 17.5″  (or 17.5″ x 23″ depending on the orientation of the photograph- including the frame) on sale for $175 each.

I’ve been a bad blogger.  Lately I’ve had an overwhelming amount of computer work, and the blog has taken a back seat.   (Delivering Client images is always my top priority)  Please don’t give up on me- I’ve got a ton of weddings, some portrait sessions, a couple of babies, and even some pups to blog very soon…

On a side note, I will be out of the office until next Wednesday to visit my newest little niece in Tennessee.  I can’t wait to meet her!   I will have some email access while visiting, but phone may be the quickest way to get a hold of me.

See you soon!

Pip says “I dare you to leave this cute face.”

  • Deann B. - Awww… we miss you, Kim! Have fun playing Auntie! :)

  • Heather - Seriously, how could you leave that sweet face? ;) Have fun in Tennessee!

  • beth - awww, I have a labby with a pink nose!

Just a few things I’m pretty excited about…

Looks like I made it on the “Top Photographers of 2008” list over at WPJA.  I’ve tied with several other photographers at spot #104, so yes, I’m at the bottom.  But I don’t mind being at the bottom of the top list! :)  Since WPJA is international, I’ve competed with wedding photographers in every country in the world!  I’m pretty pumped that I made it here… maybe 2009 will put me mid list?  A girl can dream.

I also placed in the recent contest over at ISPWP.  Check out all the winners [ HERE ]
